Head Varsity Assistant: Christian Warner
● Coach Warner played varsity basketball under Coach Banning for three
seasons and served as Team Captain during his senior year. While still in high
school, he began coaching the Silver Creek Rush middle school feeder team, a
role he held from his sophomore through senior years. After graduating,
Coach Warner immediately returned to the program as a volunteer assistant
for two seasons. He then stepped into the role of JV Head Coach and Varsity
Assistant, positions he held for the next four years. Now entering his seventh
year with the program, Coach Warner serves as the Head Assistant for the
Boys Basketball Program.
In addition to coaching, Coach Warner works at Silver Creek as one of the
Campus Supervisors and is continuing his college education to earn a
bachelor’s degree in English for secondary education. His commitment to
giving back to the community, advocating for students, and fostering a
positive campus environment reflects his passion for mentorship both on and
off the court.
Coach Warner and his wife, Makenna, grew up in the local community, where
both of their families have deep roots in Silver Creek. In their spare time, the
Warners enjoy soaking up the sun at the lake, playing cornhole, reading, going
on walks with their dog, Luka, and spending time with family.
Christian Warner is dedicated to collaborating with each team and
integrating conceptual knowledge to support player growth. His organization,
energy, and deep understanding of the game continue to make him a valuable
asset to the program.
JV: Matthew Marriott
● Coach Marriott is a former Silver Creek Raptor class of 2004. He had the
privilege of playing for Coach Banning for two seasons at Silver Creek. He was
the 1st graduating class at Silver Creek and he firmly believes the successes he
has had in life are from growing up in the Longmont community and playing
for Coach Banning. Coach Banning was also the best man in Coach Marriott’s
wedding. He has two children- Mitchell 11 and daughter Reese 9, and married
for 15 years to his wife Kendra.
Coach Marriott has had many great opportunities in the basketball world and
he is currently a regional recruiter for Fort Lewis Men’s Basketball, Hastings
College Men’s Basketball, and Oklahoma Wesleyan. He was formerly the Head
Boys Coach at Greeley West High School, and a volunteer for Denver
University Men’s Basketball. In 2021 he was an assistant on staff at Denver
Christian where they took 3rd place in state. Additionally, he has coached club
basketball for a number of years and he currently coaches a Nike EYBL Team
for Premier and Rocky Mountain Fever.
Matthew Marriott is the Western United States Regional Director of
High-Pressure Gas Transmission and Control Rooms for Xcel Energy. Outside
of work and basketball, Coach Marriott enjoys spending time with his family,
restoring classic cars, in his shop and cabin, and fishing.
The program is fortunate to have a former Raptor return to his alma mater
and contribute to the rich culture he helped start.
Silver C: Todd Goad
● Coach Goad enters his 10th year on the sidelines and his 8th season as the
Silver Creek C Team coach. Before joining Creek, he spent 2 years with the
Erie High School staff and coached multiple competitive youth club teams.
Coach Goad’s philosophy is built on the “We > Me” mindset, emphasizing
teamwork, fundamentals, accountability, positivity, and relentless work ethic.
He plays a key role in fostering the Gentleman Warrior culture that Silver
Creek basketball is known for.
As a player, Todd Goad was a member of Coach Banning’s first varsity team at
Niwot High School, where together they helped spark a culture shift that
ultimately produced a state championship. Today, he carries forward that
same standard, teaching life lessons through basketball while preparing
players for a smooth transition to the “big gym.”
Away from the court, Todd is a local Realtor. He and his wife, Tracy, enjoy time
outdoors with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Rosie, and her smaller sidekick,
Ollie the Chihuahua.
Maroon D: David Foster
● Coach Foster brings over 10 years of coaching experience, including eight
years with Erie High School and the Colorado Titans. In addition to basketball,
he has coached baseball within the St. Vrain Valley School District and at the
club level, further showcasing his dedication to youth athletics. Coach Foster
brings valuable experience, a fresh perspective, and genuine passion to the
coaching staff.
He is excited to collaborate with the program and is committed to developing
strong character and accountability in players — both for themselves and
their teammates through hard work and dedication.
As a player, David Foster was fortunate enough to be a part of the basketball
program at Niwot High School when Coach Banning first came on board and
was an all-conference baseball player.
Outside of coaching, David has served as an Environmental Protection
Specialist with the State of Colorado for the past 20 years. He and his wife,
Lisa, are the proud parents of three outstanding kids. The program is proud to
welcome him to the team and looks forward to the positive impact he will
bring.

with the program, having played under Coach Banning at Niwot High School
and winning the 1993 State Championship together. He went on to play three

career. As a player, Coach Isom earned several accolades, including 1993
Honorable Mention All-State, 1993–94 Conference Player of the Year, 1994

Coach Isom brings a wealth of leadership experience, integrity, and a
commitment to excellence. His presence is a tremendous asset to the
program, and he looks forward to mentoring athletes both on and off the
court.
With the exception of Coach Foster, all of the coaching staff played for Coach
Banning in high school, with Coach Goad playing for him his rookie year!
