Silver Creek High students with disabilities have the opportunity to engage in Unified Sports programs. Unified Sports programming bridges the gap between students enrolled in special needs courses and those in traditional courses. Student-athletes are paired with a general education student partner who champion the success of all competing athletes.
This program allows students with disabilities to participate in flag football, basketball and soccer. Students with disabilities are paired with general education students who serve as their peer mentor and supporter on the field or court. This program works in conjunction with the Special Olympics of Colorado.
