After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Idaho, I spent five years in Boise, Idaho teaching middle school Language Arts.  My young family moved to Colorado in 1999, and I decided to take a year off from teaching to stay at home with my small children; however, I desperately missed the classroom.  I soon found myself teaching Honors English for seven years at Frederick High School, where I was named "Teacher of the Year, 2005."  I am now blessed to teach AP English Language and Composition at Silver Creek, where my own children attend high school, and the school from which I hope to retire.
